NFL: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Mario Manningham join New York Giants

New York Giants have signed cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and brought back wide receiver Mario Manningham for a second spell with the franchise.

Rodgers-Cromartie, a first-round draft pick by Arizona in 2008, was a free agent after helping Denver Broncos win the AFC title last season.
The NFL's official website reports Rodgers-Cromartie's contract with the Giants is for five years and $39 million, including a $10m signing bonus and $14m in guaranteed money.

He has made 92 starts and 19 interceptions during his six seasons in the league and went to the Pro Bowl in 2009.

 Meanwhile, has rejoined the team he helped to a Super Bowl title in the 2011 season.
After two years away in San Francisco including ACL surgery, the 27-year-old has agreed a return to the Giants.
"I'm happy to be back," Manningham told the team's official website. "I'm real excited. It's just great to see everybody, be around familiar faces, knowing everybody in the past and just being comfortable around everybody.
"Once a Giant, always a Giant. That's how I feel. This is a very special place. I wanted to come back."
The Giants missed the play-offs after finishing 7-9 last season and have taken a notably aggressive approach in free agency, with former Denver kick return specialist Trindon Holliday another to have signed up for next season.
