Ricardo Rodriguez released by World Wrestling Entertainment after four years on main roster

WWE has parted company with Ricardo Rodriguez.
Rodriguez debuted on the Smackdown brand in August 2010 and is best known for serving as Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer, as well as for his short period working with Rob Van Dam.
He was with Del Rio during his reigns as WWE Champion (2) and World Heavyweight Champion (2) and when Mexico's Greatest Export won the largest Royal Rumble match in history in 2011.
However, he also spent time managing Van Dam in bouts against The Essence of Excellence and locked horns in the ring with the likes of John Cena, Bret Hart, Santino Marella, Big Show, Big E and Del Rio.
Rodriguez – whose two minutes and 19 seconds in the 2012 Royal Rumble saw him eliminate Justin Gabriel thanks to help from Mick Foley but then get jettisoned by Marella – has more recently been seen commentating at the Spanish announce desk during WWE pay-per-views.
A statement on WWE.com said: "WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Ricardo Rodriguez as of July 30, 2014. WWE wishes Ricardo the best in all of his future endeavors.”
