SmackDown Report: Big E defeats Del Rio while Batista catches Sheamus

Big E went head-to-head with former World Champion Alberto Del Rio on Friday night's SmackDown.

Towards the end of a ferocious contest, 'Mexico's Greatest Export' failed to release at the five-count his attempted cross armbreaker, forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Del Rio was furious and fronted up to his opponent again only to feel the full force of his rival who finished with a Big Ending.

Also on SmackDown:

- Divas Champion Paige continued to prove her ruthlessness by making Aksana submit to her modified Scorpion Crosslock.
- Los Matadores' El Torito reigned supreme over a 3MB-backed Hornswoggle, using the Bullsault to gain victory.
- Alexander Rusev dominated R-Truth before making him submit to The Accolade. After the bell Xavier Woods attempted to stop the continued destruction, only to be tossed over the rope.
- Batista caught Sheamus on the top turnbuckle and dropped him onto the ropes. This ultimately allowed the six-time World Champion to triumph with a Batista Bomb!
