Stephane Robidas scored 16 seconds into the extra period to give the
Ducks their biggest comeback win in team history. They appeared to be dead and buried 10:54 into the second period when Eric Tangradi, a 2007 Ducks draft pick, added to earlier Jets goals from Jacob Trouba, Matt Halischuk and Blake Wheeler to make it 4-0.
Nick Bonino responded for the Ducks before the end of the period and goals from Ryan Getzlaf and Hampus Lindholm cut the deficit to one early in the final period.
But it took until 23 seconds from the buzzer for Anaheim to level the scores with Getzlaf and Kyle Palmieri setting Corey Perry up for his 39th goal of the season, that goal giving Robidas the chance to be their hero.
hat-trick
"When you always believe you can win, you're never out of the game," Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said. "I think that was what happened. We were so vastly outplayed in the first 35 minutes of the game."When Nick Bonino scored and Freddie Andersen made the big save 20 seconds later, we thought if we could get another one, you never know."
The Minnesota Wild were also comeback winners on Monday night, third period goals from Matt Moulson and Mikko Koivu seeing them past the Los Angeles Kings 3-2.
Travis Zajac scored a hat-trick and Jaromir Jagr had four points in a 6-3 win for the New Jersey Devils over the Florida Panthers that keeps their play-off hopes alive.
And there was a vital victory for the Ottawa Senators as well as they moved within four points of the play-offs with a 2-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, Ales Hemsky scoring the only goal of a penalty shootout.
