The Golden State Warriors must wait a while
longer to secure a play-off place after Kenneth Faried's turnaround hook
shot lifted the Denver Nuggets to a dramatic 100-99 victory.
Stephen
Curry had given Golden State the edge with 4.7 seconds left but Faried
had the final word for a Denver team who had trailed by 20 in the first
half.Timofey Mozgov led the Nuggets with career highs of 23 points and 29 rebounds, while Faried had 18 points with 17 boards.
Patty Mills started in place of Tony Parker and poured in 26 points as the San Antonio Spurs edged closer to earning the top seed in the Western Conference with a 109-100 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
With Parker suffering from a bad back, Mills made the most of a rare start while Tim Duncan had 20 points and 15 rebounds despite suffering a knee injury early on.
