Boston Bruins clinched a place in the Stanley
Cup play-offs and broke through the 100-point barrier with a 2-0 win
away to Colorado Avalanche.
Goals from Patrice Bergeron in the
first period and Carl Soderberg in the second, along with 31 saves from
Chad Johnson including two in the dying moments, clinched the Bruins'
11th straight NHL victory.Friday's NHL results:

New York Rangers, sixth in the Bruins' Eastern Conference, came from behind to beat Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1 with all the goals coming in the final period.
Nick Foligno gave Columbus the lead but Derek Stepan responded within a minute and Derick Brassard scored the go-ahead goal before Carl Hagelin added an empty-net clincher.

Shea Weber scored twice and Matt Cullen, having earlier racked up three assists, deservedly scored what proved to be the winner as Mike Cammalleri's second goal for Calgary proved in vain.
