NBA: San Antonio Spurs continue hot form, Washington Wizards shock Indiana Pacers

San Antonio Spurs extended their winning run to 16 matches with an impressive 133-102 victory over Denver Nuggets.
Marco Belinelli notched 27 points and Tim Duncan added 20 as the Western Conference leaders cruised to victory, scoring their highest total in a game this season.
If they beat New Orleans Pelicans, who are on a hot streak themselves, on Saturday, the Spurs would stretch their winning run to 17 games for the first time since 1996.
John Wall scored 20 points as Washington Wizards stunned Eastern Conference leaders Indiana by clinically beating the Pacers 91-78.
The Wizards had lost to Indiana twice this season, by a combined total of 47 points, but they never trailed in the third meeting as Wall led the way, while Marcin Gortat contributed 17 points and 12 rebounds.
A triple double from Miami star man LeBron James saw the Heat thrash Detroit Pistons 110-78.
James poured in 17 points and added 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the first three quarters to inspire Miami to victory even though they were without a host of players, such as Dwyane Wade and Mario Chalmers.

Raptors into play-offs

Toronto Raptors clinched their first play-off berth in six seasons as DeMar DeRozan's 30 points helped them to a narrow 105-103 success over Boston Celtics.
It was an 18th win in 24 home games for the Raptors although they were ran close by their opponents, who lost for the third successive game.
Kevin Durant scored over 25 points for the 37th consecutive game, with his haul of 29 helping Oklahoma City Thunder to a 94-81 win over Sacramento Kings.
Five players registered double figures for Portland Trail Blazers, who followed up their victory over Atlanta by brushing aside Chicago Bulls 91-74 and Kevin Love inspired Minnesota Timberwolves to a 143-107 win over Los Angeles Lakers with 22 points, 10 rebounds and as many assists.
Goran Dragic's 32 points proved crucial as Phoenix Suns claimed their sixth victory in a row after comprehensively beating New York Knicks 112-88, while Memphis Grizzlies' three-game winning streak was ended after they were defeated 100-93 by Golden State Warriors.
Brooklyn top scorer Paul Pierce scored 17 of his 22 points in the first quarter as the Nets eventually overcame Cleveland Cavaliers 108-97, Orlando Magic edged out Charlotte Bobcats 110-105 after overtime and New Orleans Pelicans claimed their fifth successive win in a 102-95 triumph over Utah Jazz.
