Elite League Ice Hockey review: Sheffield Steelers edge out Nottingham Panthers

Sheffield Steelers battled back from 2-0 down to hand Gerad Adams a winning start against fierce rivals Nottingham Panthers on Saturday night.
Steelers eventually prevailed 3-2 by way of penalty shots, Chris Blight grabbing the winning strike.
The result ended Panthers four-game winning run and keeps Steelers in second spot in the standings, a point clear of Nottingham and with a game in hand.
Already-crowned league winners Belfast Giants extended the gap at the top to 24 points courtesy of a last-gasp 5-4 overtime win at Fife Flyers.
Giants extended their unbeaten run to 16 games thanks to a Jeffrey Szwez winner with only three seconds of the extra period remaining.
Elsewhere, Coventry Blaze produced a storming fightback to beat Cardiff Devils 4-3 on penalties and keep their play-off hopes alive.
Devils looked to have the game sewn up when piling up a 3-0 lead in the opening period, only for Blaze to come roaring back through Cale Tanaka, Russell Cowley and Michael Henrich.
Braehead Clan ended a four-game losing run to defeat basement boys Edinburgh Capitals 2-1 and Dundee Stars picked up a 2-1 road win at Hull Stingrays.
