Valeri Nichushkin seals Dallas win over Phoenix

Dallas Stars moved into a play-off position after a 2-1 win over Phoenix Coyotes in the Western Conference.

Kari Lehtonen made 26 saves for Dallas and Ray Whitney and Valeri Nichushkin scored goals to send the Stars up to eighth.
Whitney opened the scoring in the second minute and Nichushkin kept the hosts in command, deflecting in a shot from Trevor Daley at 19:26 of the second period.
Lehtonen held Phoenix at bay until Radim Vrbata scored on a power play with 15 seconds remaining.
Elsewhere, Patrice Bergeron scored twice and added an assist as the Boston Bruins inflicted a 7-2 thrashing on the Ottawa Senators.
Brad Marchand had a goal and two assists himself, while Jarome Iginla also impressed with a goal and an assist for Boston.
