Moyes criticised by own player

David Moyes can add to his ever-growing list of problems, after Rio Ferdinand questioned his team selection policy.
The Daily Mail reports the centre-back saying his United colleagues were wasting energy fretting over whether they were in the starting line-up, with intensity levels suffering as a consequence.
Moyes’ problems don’t stop there as £15million summer signing Wilfried Zaha recently took to Twitter to deny rumours that he had been dating the Manchester United manager’s daughter.
Turning into a madman
Ferdinand was talking of Moyes’ managerial methods on his BT Sport video diary, stating that he preferred Sir Alex Ferguson’s way of dealing with team selection.
‘You don’t really get to know the team. The old manager used to give you a little bit of an idea if you’d be playing and stuff.’ said the 35-year-old.
‘When you know you’re playing, the intensity goes up a little bit more on matchday. Even if you’re not sure you are playing, you still need to try and get to that level of  intensity you’d be at if you knew you were in the team, but it’s hard.
‘You spend a lot of nervous energy thinking, “Am I playing?” or “Am I not playing?” and you’re just going round in circles in your head and turning into a madman.’
The former Everton manager responded to Ferdinand’s outburst, saying he alternates between naming the squad early and late, believing lots of other clubs do it in a similar fashion.

 Rumours
Meanwhile the out-of-favour Wilfried Zaha discussed rumours of him having a relationship with Lauren Moyes, saying that he had “never dated or even met David Moyes’ daughter”.
The England Under-21 star has not started a Premier League game for the Red Devils since his big money move from Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace, with his rumoured courting of Moyes’ daughter the reason for his lack of matches.
It’s obvious that Moyes didn’t need to face these challenges right now, with his side sitting in 9th place, 12 points behind the leaders Arsenal with 14 games played.
The midweek 1-0 loss to Everton and the reception the Scot received from Toffees fans must’ve also been tough to take, with the Blues making great strides under new boss Roberto Martinez.
Manchester United are looking to get back to winning ways this weekend, and are preparing to face 7th placed Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
