EIHL: Belfast Giants extend lead at the top after beating Fife Flyers in OT

Belfast Giants pulled further clear at the Elite League summit after a 3-2 win in overtime against the Fife Flyers.

  Evan Cheverie and Chris Higgins scored for the leaders in regulation but they were taken to an extra period by Fife.
  Calvin Elfring fired home the winner in overtime to move the Giants six points clear of second-placed Braehead Clan, albeit having played three games more.
  Fife, whose goals came from Derek Roehl and Bobby Chaumont, stay second-bottom after their third overtime loss of the season.
